Join our Data Transformation team and help shape the future of data management practices at Deloitte Luxembourg. As part of the internal IT department, this team plays a key role in the firm’s data transformation roadmap and focuses on building robust data governance foundations.

You will be involved in strategic data initiatives such as our move to SAP S/4HANA in the cloud, the review of our data landscape including data warehouse and reporting capabilities, and the rollout of a data governance tool. This is an opportunity for you to structure and standardise how data is managed and help build well governed data practices across the firm. How you'll contribute to our success


- Play a key role in SAP cloud migration project by identifying which data should be kept, cleaned, or removed, and defining how it will be migrated and managed in the new environment
- Support the redesign and governance of our data landscape, including our data warehouse and reporting solutions, by defining key data governance principles, standards and ways of working to ensure consistent, high quality data and insights
- Help industrialize and scale our current data governance practices, including the implementation of a data governance tool and the definition of associated processes, roles and controls to support adoption across the firm
- Prepare and conduct workshops with relevant IT and functional stakeholders to gather insights on the current data landscape and future data requirements
- Conduct data inventories, gather relevant information on data structures and characteristics, and contribute to the creation and maintenance of a data catalog
- Identify and analyze current challenges and issues around data, and provide recommendations to address root causes, mitigate data risks and improve overall data management practices
- Help define and maintain standards and rules for key data management capabilities (data governance, data quality management, data architecture, master / metadata management)
- Help build a strong data governance mindset across the firm by translating data governance into concrete ways of working and bringing business and IT stakeholders along in the required changes

Your skills

Master’s degree, preferably in Information Technology, Data Management, Business Administration or related fields
- Strong interest in data and related fields, including IT systems and technologies, and a minimum of 5 years’ experience in data governance / data management
- Familiarity with key data concepts, master data and metadata related standards, processes and technologies, and good knowledge of data management capabilities (data governance, data quality, data architecture)
- Genuine interest in reviewing, structuring and improving existing data practices
- Proactive mindset, you propose ideas and display initiative, critical thinking and strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Organized, with strong attention to detail and the ability to summarize complex information and present it in a clear and simple way
- Eager to learn, with a positive attitude and resilience
- Able to collaborate effectively with cross functional teams and various stakeholders, and display strong verbal and written communication skills
- A first experience with data governance tools (e.g. Collibra, Microsoft Purview, …) and/or SAP solutions (e.g. SAP ECC, S/4HANA, SAP Datasphere, SAP Business Data Cloud) is considered a strong asset
- Previous experience in project and change management is preferred
- Fluency in English; French is considered an asset
