As a Data Governance Senior Associate, you will engage with clients to address their privacy law and data protection needs, leveraging your skills in data governance within our Technology Consulting practice. As a Senior Associate, you will focus on building meaningful client connections and developing a deeper understanding of the business context. You will navigate complex situations, mentor junior team members, and uphold professional and technical standards. In this role at PwC Acceleration Center Buenos Aires, you will analyze complex problems, anticipate client needs, and deliver quality solutions that align with our firm's methodologies and resources.

Responsibilities

  • Developing and implementing data governance frameworks
  • Leading the design and implementation of data governance strategies, operating models, policies, standards, and roadmaps aligned with business and data management objectives
  • Managing Data Governance technology implementations through requirements gathering, solution design, testing, production rollout, and stakeholder adoption
  • Collaborating with business and technical stakeholders to establish data ownership, stewardship, metadata management, data lineage, data quality, and data lifecycle management practices
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to address data breach incidents and enhance cybersecurity measures
  • Supporting the development of privacy programs and policies to align with industry standards
  • Managing records and information security to protect personal data and maintain compliance
  • Engaging in regulatory compliance consulting to mitigate risks and improve data protection strategies
  • Utilizing analytical thinking to interpret complex legal matters and provide actionable recommendations
  • Understanding the importance of responsible Information Management, including Information Security and Data Protection
  • Ensuring correct Information Security Management practices

What You Must Have

  • At least a Bachelor's degree
  • At least 5 years of relevant experience
  • Oral and written proficiency in English required
  • Strong hands-on experience with at least one leading enterprise Data Governance platform, such as Collibra, Alation, Informatica, Databricks, or OneTrust
  • Experience implementing Data Governance programs, including data cataloging, metadata management, data lineage, data quality, data stewardship, or data lifecycle management
  • Experience leading Data Governance workstreams or technology implementations within complex business environments

What Sets You Apart

  • Preference for at least one of the following fields of study: Analytics, Business Analytics, Computer Applications, Computer Engineering, Computer Programming, Computer Science, Computer and Information Science, Data Processing/Analytics/Science, Electrical Engineering, Engineering, Information CyberSecurity, Information Technology, Law, Management Information Systems, Risk Management, Statistics, Systems Engineering
  • Experience with enterprise metadata management, data cataloging, data lineage, data profiling, data quality, retention management, or structured data archiving
  • Familiarity with SQL and Python for data analysis, profiling, validation, or governance-related activities
  • Knowledge of data governance frameworks and relevant certifications, such as DCAM, DAMA, CDMP, or Collibra Ranger
  • Utilizing analytical thinking to solve complex data governance issues
  • Excelling in cybersecurity and information security applications
  • Embracing change and learning agility in dynamic environments
