#ZCC is looking for a Data Governance Business Analyst

Data Governance Business Analyst Profile

Purpose: Builds the business and data context needed to support data governance, stewardship, data quality, and master data management initiatives by documenting processes, data flows, and ownership across the enterprise.

Key Accountabilities

• Partner with business stakeholders, data stewards, and SMEs to elicit, analyze, and document business requirements, processes, and data needs.
• Facilitate workshops and working sessions to understand business processes, data usage, reporting requirements, and system interactions.
• Create and maintain process maps, data flows, and business requirements artifacts that clearly document current-state and future-state operations.
• Translate business processes into business data lineage and trace critical data from source to consumption across systems and reports.
• Identify gaps, risks, and improvement opportunities related to data flows, ownership, governance, controls, and operational processes.
• Support metadata management by documenting business definitions, data relationships, ownership, and governance requirements within data catalog tools (e.g., Collibra).
• Partner with Data Governance and Stewardship teams to identify Critical Data Elements (CDEs), define data quality requirements, and support accountability frameworks.
• Support data issue management by documenting, analyzing, and tracking data-related issues, risks, and dependencies to enable effective resolution.
• Conduct impact assessments to evaluate the business, process, and data implications of changes to systems, policies, or operating models.
• Develop and maintain governance, process, and data documentation that enables knowledge sharing, audit readiness, traceability, and regulatory compliance.
• Build strong cross-functional relationships and facilitate alignment among business, technology, and governance teams to drive data-informed decision making.
