Job Description

Responsible for assisting in developing and implementing enterprise data governance frameworks, policies, and standards to ensure data quality, security, and compliance. Independently manages metadata, monitors data incidents, analyzes data risks, and collaborates with IT and business units to maintain data catalogs and improve data stewardship.

Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor's Degree in Information Management, Computer Science, Data Science or related field.

Licenses/Certifications: Valid Driver's License.

Experience: Two to five years of combined experience in Information Technology, Information Security or Data Governance, with specific experience in: Metadata Management, Data Analysis, Data Quality Management. Or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Essential Functions:

A: Job Specific:

  • Assists in developing and implementing policies, standards, procedures, and data quality rules.
  • Actively manages metadata repositories and business glossaries/data catalogs (e.g., Informatica, Microsoft Purview, OvalEdge).
  • Identifies data quality issues, performs profiling, and analyzes data risks to provide insights to business partners.
  • Ensures compliance with regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA) and monitors data security incidents.
  • Collaborates with stakeholders to define key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure program maturity.

  • Proficiency in SQL for data manipulation and querying. Basic understanding of data management concepts, database structures, and ETL processes.
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools, data profiling, and understanding of data governance best practices.
