ROLE OBJECTIVE

  • Lead the Data Excellence function across the Region, providing strategic direction, people leadership and performance oversight for Data Excellence Managers who are each responsible for data excellence delivery within their assigned Cluster.
  • Set the regional data excellence agenda and operating model across multiple Clusters, ensuring Data Excellence Managers are aligned to clear priorities, consistent ways of working, measurable outcomes and effective stakeholder engagement across LOCs, IBU and ICC/GCC.
  • Accountable for local integration and scaling of global data products (e.g. Marketing Mix Modelling, Next Best Action, mAI Access etc.) by orchestrating team delivery, removing barriers and ensuring analytical outputs are contextualized for local business decisions.
  • Own the regional data excellence roadmap across multiple Clusters, prioritizing data stewardship, quality improvement, EDB ingestion, documentation and enablement activities, while ensuring Data Excellence Managers deliver trusted, consumable and actionable data capabilities within their respective Clusters.
  • Act as the senior data excellence ambassador for the Region, building data and technology fluency across Cluster and LOC leadership teams, and coaching Data Excellence Managers to drive adoption through practical enablement within their Clusters.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Lead and develop Data Excellence Managers across the Region. Provide line management, coaching, prioritization and performance guidance to Data Excellence Managers who are accountable for data excellence delivery within their assigned Clusters, ensuring clear objectives, balanced workloads, effective development plans and consistent delivery standards across the Region.
  • Set and govern the regional data excellence agenda. Translate IBU and global priorities into a practical regional roadmap across multiple Clusters, define common ways of working, establish delivery governance and ensure progress is transparent to senior regional and Cluster stakeholders.
  • Accountable for data stewardship across the Region. Ensure each critical dataset has clear ownership, definitions, usage guidance and steward routines, with Data Excellence Managers driving Cluster and market-level reviews, issue triage and follow-through.
  • Lead consistent local implementation of global data standards. Oversee alignment of local field names, values, mapping tables and documented exceptions to global definitions, ensuring local data remains interoperable with global products and analytics.
  • Orchestrate scaling and adoption of global data and analytics products. Direct team activities for local onboarding, dataset readiness, validation, user access, troubleshooting and adoption support for products such as Marketing Mix Modelling, Next Best Action and mAI Access.
  • Partner with senior cross-functional stakeholders to translate analytics into action. Engage commercial, medical, access, digital and analytics leaders to shape priorities, resolve trade-offs, validate assumptions and ensure insights are applied in meaningful business decisions.
  • Partner with ICC/GCC for scalable delivery. Act as the regional escalation and coordination point for DD&T products and services, ensuring requirements are clear, delivery dependencies are managed and implementation is embedded consistently across Clusters and local ways of working.
  • Own data quality performance and remediation governance. Establish recurring quality monitoring across completeness, accuracy, consistency and timeliness, review root causes and trends, and ensure remediation is prioritized and executed through the team and source system SMEs.
  • Ensure data documentation is complete, current and usable. Set expectations for data dictionaries, dataset descriptions, lineage notes, refresh frequency, business rules and usage guidance, and ensure consistent quality across markets and products.
  • Direct data integration and EDB ingestion delivery. Prioritize source onboarding, profiling, extraction requirements, transformation logic, validation rules and publishing steps, ensuring delivery is coordinated across Data Excellence Managers, ICC/GCC and local SMEs.
  • Build data fluency and adoption across LOCs. Sponsor and guide practical enablement, including training sessions, office hours, playbooks and examples, while coaching Data Excellence Managers to embed confident and consistent data usage in day-to-day work.
