Downer has been awarded the Property and Asset Services (PAS) contract to deliver base and estate services across their two largest regions NSW/ACT and QLD. This is a significant milestone for our business and our enduring 80+ year relationship with the Australian Defence Force.

This role provides 24/7 support, and we have multiple rostered shifts available, including:
Day shift: between 6:00am and 7:00pm
Afternoon shift: between 2:00pm and 11:00pm
Graveyard shift: between 10:00pm and 6:00am

What You’ll Do

Coordinate, integrate and quality‑check work orders and data, ensuring smooth maintenance delivery and strong customer service across Defence estate operations.

This role offers a broad scope, with key responsibilities including:

  • Manage & Integrate Work Orders
    - Develop, maintain and integrate preventive, corrective and statutory maintenance work orders.
    - Ensure smooth flow of work orders to reduce backlog and rework.
  • Data Governance & System Integration
    - Ensure asset and maintenance data is accurate, complete and aligned between Downer and Defence systems.
    - Support system integration tasks including manual data entry, triage, report extraction, and updates to master data and task libraries.
  • Stakeholder Support
    - Support trades with credential approvals.
    - Assist Defence Base Services Contact Centre interactions.
    - Provide administration support to the Works Centre team.
    - Liaise with technical leads, delivery teams, subcontractors, Defence stakeholders and consultants.
    - Contribute to customer-focused solutions that enhance the Defence experience.

What You’ll Bring

  • Ability to obtain & retain relevant Defence Security Clearance.

  • Cert III in Business Administration / Customer Engagement or relevant.

  • Experience in a customer service or administrative role, with high level communication & stakeholder engagement skills.

  • Understanding of the interface realities between technical work processes and customer service requirements.
  • Accuracy, organisation & time management skills are essential.
