You’ll lead the design and governance of MAG’s enterprise-wide data architecture, enabling data-driven decision-making across airport operations, enterprise systems, and customer engagement. This includes developing the MAG data model, integrating disparate systems, and ensuring data quality, security, and accessibility across the organisation.

What will make you successful?

You’ll be a Data Enterprise Architect with experience operating within highly complex and ideally regulated environments, you will have been responsible for shaping & implementing an organisation’s data strategy and ensuring its alignment with business objectives. You’ll have translated intricate business requirements into robust, scalable, and secure data solutions, leveraging deep expertise in data modelling, ETL processes, data warehousing, and modern cloud platforms. A key part of your role will be to develop our Enterprise Data Model, dive into the critical data domains & ensure they’re fit to deliver on our tech and AI strategies - defining remediation and improvement where necessary; Then establish, lead and maintain strong data governance frameworks to ensure robust practices, across all data domains, and will need to demonstrate this to be successful in this role. You’ll also need to have experience on the adoption and implementation of enterprise data catalogues to improve data discoverability, lineage visibility, and metadata management, supporting a culture of data-driven decision‑making.

In addition, you’ll need to demonstrate expertise in designing and overseeing complex architectural patterns using industry‑standard frameworks such as Lambda, Medallion, and Data Mesh, enabling both batch and real-time data processing capabilities. You’ll collaborate closely with stakeholders across all levels of the organisation, using excellent communication and influencing skills to guide decision-making, land data models that will set MAG up for success in the future, and drive consensus on key data initiatives. Your responsibilities will also include architecting real-time data processing pipelines and supporting advanced analytics and BI solutions that enhance operational efficiency and strategic insight. You’ll be able to highlight through analytical thinking and strong problem-solving abilities from your career, where you have played a critical role in shaping a cohesive, future‑ready enterprise data landscape.

Your role will involve owning and developing the organisation’s data models, getting hands-on with modelling to understand what data truly matters, and leading the data workstream across key projects by defining requirements early and ensuring high‑quality delivery. You’ll be required to identifying and prioritising the critical data points and domains needed to support strategic objectives, proactively shaping them before they’re required. Your position will also see you establish strong data governance and stewardship practices to maintain accuracy, integrity, and long-term usability of data, ensuring that once data is fixed and structured for a project, it stays in a healthy, well‑managed state across the business.
