For this position, the perfect Rhino should have the following skills:

  • 3-4 years of experience in Data Engineering or related role;
  • Hands-on experience with DBT Core, including CLI-based development and version control;
  • Experience building and maintaining data pipelines;
  • Strong SQL skills and experience working with analytics databases or data warehouses;
  • Intermediate knowledge of data modeling concepts (e.g. star schema, medallion architecture);
  • Familiarity with Git-based workflows;
  • Understanding of CI/CD concepts applied to data pipelines;
  • Experience with Python for data processing and/or orchestration tasks;
  • Exposure to cloud platforms - AWS, Azure, GCP - is a nice to have;
  • Hands-on experience with Dataiku for data preparation and analytics workflows is a nice to have;
  • Hands-on experience with PowerBI (data modeling, DAX, and visualization best practices) is a nice to have;
  • Experience building or supporting machine learning models in Dataiku is a nice to have;
  • Exposure to Generative AI or LLM-based use cases (e.g., embeddings, prompt engineering) is a nice to have;
  • Fluency in English (B2 Level or above) is required;
  • Availability for a hybrid regime, 2x/semana, in Lisbon (candidates must be based in Portugal and Portuguese or other EU citizenship, or a valid Portuguese work permit is required).
