What You'll do:

- Analyze existing SAS queries and SAS Query Builder logic and translate them into optimized SQL and Python solutions;

- Review, simplify, and improve legacy logic rather than performing a direct migration;

- Partner with business data analysts to understand reporting and process requirements;

- Act as the technical bridge between business teams and engineering teams;

- Develop and optimize cloud-based data solutions on Azure Synapse;

- Ensure migrated workloads are cost-efficient by applying best practices for data access, filtering, and query optimization;

- Support the modernization of reporting and data processing capabilities within a cloud environment;

- Hybrid Work Model.

Who You Are:

- 2-3+ years of experience in Data Engineering, Data Development, or a similar role;

- Strong SQL and Python development skills, including query performance optimization (mandatory);

- Hands-on experience with Azure Synapse and cloud data platforms (mandatory);

- Experience analyzing and improving existing data processes and codebases;

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to challenge and simplify complex logic;

- Previous exposure to SAS, Power BI, or the Insurance/Financial Services sector is a plus;

- Comfortable working in a hybrid environment with stakeholders across business and technical teams;

- Fluent in Portuguese and English.
