Project Description

The project focuses on redesigning a system that collects, transforms, and synchronizes data from multiple sources to streamline processes and reduce infrastructure costs. The solution helps health clubs manage fitness equipment, analyze equipment usage and exerciser behavior, deliver software updates, configure equipment across facilities, and send service notifications.

What You'll Do

• Design and maintain BigQuery pipelines for operational and analytics use cases, including partitioned data marts consumed by APIs;
• Develop software components supporting data import, export, and synchronization operations;
• Automate data import, export, and processing tasks using Google Cloud Functions, containerized workloads, or equivalent managed Google Cloud services;
• Design and implement on-demand data migration APIs;
• Coordinate data migration activities with other teams and team members;
• Assist teams with extracting data from their existing systems;

Job Requirements

• 4+ years of experience working with BigQuery in production environments;
• Hands-on experience building pipelines from PostgreSQL to BigQuery for operational and analytics use cases;
• Experience designing partitioned data marts consumed by APIs, not only BI tools;
• Experience optimizing BigQuery costs through clustering, incremental models, and scheduled jobs;
• Experience with dbt;
• Background in IoT, device usage, or subscription analytics;
• GCP Professional Data Engineer certification is a plus;
• English proficiency at B2 level or higher;
