
An international organisation is looking for a Data Engineer to support the development, optimisation, and scalability of modern data infrastructure and processing pipelines. The role focuses on building reliable ETL/ELT workflows, maintaining data quality, and contributing to a scalable data ecosystem used across technical and business teams.
You will collaborate closely with engineering and business stakeholders to design efficient data solutions and improve overall data reliability, automation, and operational performance.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Develop and maintain batch and incremental ETL/ELT pipelines
Build and manage data ingestion processes from APIs and relational databases
Implement and optimise transformation logic within Data Warehouse environments
Support data quality validation, monitoring, reliability, and auditability initiatives
Contribute to containerised and automated workflows within Docker-based environments
Collaborate with technical teams and business stakeholders to understand data structures and business requirements
Support schema evolution, deployment workflows, and platform scalability
Document pipelines, workflows, and technical decisions to ensure maintainability and best practices
Participate in improving data engineering standards, tooling, and operational processes
Assist in troubleshooting data pipeline issues and performance bottlenecks
REQUIREMENTS:
3-5 years of experience in Data Engineering, Backend Engineering, or Software Engineering
Strong SQL skills and solid experience with Python
Good understanding of ETL/ELT concepts and incremental loading strategies
Experience working with APIs, relational databases, and data integration processes
Familiarity with cloud data platforms such as BigQuery or Snowflake
Experience with orchestration tools such as Airflow
Familiarity with Docker and containerised environments
Understanding of data modelling principles and structured data environments
Knowledge of Git and version control workflows
Awareness of secure data handling and access control best practices
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a structured engineering mindset
Ability to quickly adapt to new technologies and evolving technical environments
Strong communication and collaboration skills across technical and non-technical stakeholders
Fluent English communication skills, both written and spoken
