Data Engineer (Databricks | Data Pipelines )

The Talent Source has partnered with a growing PE backed firm in the search for a Data Engineer to play a critical role in transforming their data ecosystem. This is a high-impact opportunity to design and build scalable data pipelines, modernize legacy data workflows, and help unify data across a rapidly growing, acquisition-driven organization in the HVAC services space.

What You’ll Do

• Design, build, and optimize scalable data pipelines to support analytics, reporting, and operational use cases
• Lead the transition from legacy tools (e.g., Data Forge) to modern data flow / orchestration frameworks
• Develop and manage data solutions within Databricks and cloud-based environments
• Integrate data across multiple systems, including ERP, field service, and operational platforms
• Ensure data reliability, performance, and governance across the enterprise
• Collaborate with business and technology stakeholders to deliver a unified data platform

What We’re Looking For

• Strong experience building end-to-end data pipelines in modern data environments
• Hands-on expertise with Databricks (Delta Lake, Spark, workflows, etc.)
• Experience migrating from legacy ETL tools to modern data flow/orchestration solutions
• Solid understanding of networking concepts (data movement, system connectivity, APIs, integrations)
• Experience working across distributed systems and cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP)

Nice to Have

• Experience in multi-entity / acquisition-driven environments
• Exposure to field service, HVAC, or industrial services data ecosystems
• Familiarity with modern tools such as Fivetran, Airflow, Azure Data Factory, or similar
