For a large international insurance environment, we are looking for an experienced Data Engineer with strong data visualization and web application experience to support the acceleration of a global data lake initiative.
The platform provides underwriters and management with a unified portfolio view across multiple countries, enabling improved data-driven decision-making. The project focuses on onboarding and integrating data from various global sources, including premiums, claims, and exposure data.
Design and implement data visualization views based on product owner requirements
Extend existing dashboards and applications with new datasets and UI features
Improve user experience and support evolving analytical requirements
Standardize and modularize existing code into reusable components
Optimize SQL queries and data access performance
Implement hotfixes and enhancements across the application stack
Collaborate with data engineers working on the data export (gold) layer
Occasionally support data source modifications within Scala / Spark environments
