Can you build data clarity at scale?
At BESTSELLER, that is the challenge on the table. With more than 20,000 colleagues across the business, the data you help build and structure supports decisions made every day.
We are transforming how data powers our global fashion brands by building trusted, scalable and product-centric data solutions. As part of that journey, we are moving from legacy systems towards a modern data mesh architecture and are looking for an analytically minded Data Engineer to help us get there.
You'll join our Ecommerce / Product Experience Team, a close-knit group of Data Engineers based at our offices in Aarhus, Denmark and Amsterdam, the Netherlands who care as much about business outcomes as they do about clean code. We sit at the heart of BESTSELLER's data transformation, working across e-commerce, product development and operations to deliver data that people and the business can rely on.
As a team, we:
This role combines engineering depth with business understanding. You won't just build pipelines. You'll understand why they matter, work closely with stakeholders to define what good data looks like for each domain and translate business needs into robust and maintainable solutions.
More specifically, you will:
In this role, you'll work at the intersection of data engineering and the business, with the opportunity to influence how we develop our data ecosystem.
You can expect:
We're looking for someone who combines solid engineering skills with a genuine curiosity about the business side of data. You ask why before you ask how, and you're comfortable working with both technical and non-technical stakeholders to find the right solution. You work in a structured way, keep track of priorities and dependencies and follow tasks through to completion.
We imagine that you:
If you have any questions about the position, please feel free to contact Ulf Buhl Kirsmeyer at +45 30 85 37 77.
Please upload your CV as soon as possible and no later than 1 October 2026. We review applications on an ongoing basis and reserve the right to close the posting once we have found the right match.
As part of the recruitment process, candidates will complete a personality assessment, a cognitive ability test and a job-related case exercise, which will involve some individual preparation.
