Purpose of the role
To build and maintain the systems that collect, store, process, and analyse data, such as data pipelines, data warehouses and data lakes to ensure that all data is accurate, accessible, and secure.

Join us as a Data Engineer at Barclays where you will spearhead the evolution of our infrastructure and deployment pipelines, driving innovation and operational excellence. You will harness cutting-edge technology to build and manage robust, scalable and secure Digital infrastructure, ensuring seamless delivery of our digital solutions. You will collaborate with data scientists and other stakeholders to build and deploy machine learning models and support data-driven decision-making within the organization
To be successful as a Data Engineer , you should have experience with:
Strong hands-on experience in Java / Python based development
Solid understanding of Automation with scripting expertise
Experience working with scheduling/orchestration tools
Proficient in Git and GitLab for version control and CI/CD workflows
Ensuring data privacy, access control, and compliance with standards
Optimizing for complexity and performance
Some other highly valued skills may include:
Experience in Operational flow design (front to back). Good experience in dealing with stakeholders in eliciting requirements, writing user stories, test scripts, assisting in UAT, acting as pseudo PO for virtual teams.
Good working knowledge of Java programming
Understanding of real-time / streaming data processing concepts

This role is based out of Pune.
