Mercedes-Benz Research and Development India (MBRDI), headquartered in Bengaluru with a satellite office in Pune, is the largest R&D center for Mercedes-Benz Group AG outside of Germany. Responsibilities:

o Develop analytics applications for Finance & Controlling departments in the MB Cars division

o Work collaboratively with local and remote IT teams to deploy and operate the systems

o Help automate and streamline the operations and processes.

o Build and maintain tools for deployment, monitoring and operations.

o Maintain code integrity and organization.

Must Have:

Development Skills

o Good understanding of application frontends developed as SPA using ReactJS, Angular, Vue.js in order to build the images and containers for deployment

o Experience with REST and APIs

o Knowledge about state-of-the-art Dev tools (like NPM, Git/SVN, Webpack, Gulp/Grunt) and ability to transform code into solid products within short time

o Strong skills in a modern language and framework combination such as Java/Spring

o Strong understanding of Microservices architecture and the aspects related to application deployment and maintenance.

o Experience working with version control tools such as Git

o Knowledge of NoSQL technologies

o Experience with container platforms such as Docker and Kuberentes orchestration

o Experience with continuous integration practices and tools such as Jenkins, Github Actions

o Experience building web/mobile back-ends and APIs

Software Provisioning

o Mastery of Kubernetes & Docker in creating the various manifest files required to build and deploy from code to ready to consume application products

o Strong skills in software provisioning, configuration management and application-deployment tool enabling infrastructure as code.

o Mastery in one or more software’s like Ansible/Chef/Puppet/Terraform.

- Mastery in Github

- IT Operations (Maintenance, Support, others)

- Testing & Automation (e.g. CI/CD, API, others)

Nice to Have:

- Developer with already existing Daimler IT background/experience would be very beneficial

- Affinity for advanced analytics, statistics, mathematics. Understanding of R and Python code. Knowhow about Cloudera stack and analytics workbenches (e.g. Dataiku) are an advantage.

Others:

- Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or similar qualification and relevant work experience

- Good English language skills (German language skills are an advantage, but not necessary)

- Willingness to travel (up to 50%)
