We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Data Engineer to join BP Business Solutions India Private Limited. This role will be instrumental in designing, developing, and maintaining robust data pipelines and infrastructure, ensuring the availability and quality of data for various business initiatives. You will work within an agile environment, collaborating with diverse teams to deliver innovative data solutions.

Job Responsibilities:**

* Design, build, and maintain scalable and efficient data pipelines using scripting languages and various data tools.
* Develop and implement relational data models to support analytical and operational reporting requirements.
* Handle and optimize data configurations, ensuring data integrity and security.
* Implement continuous deployment and release strategies for data solutions, ensuring smooth and reliable delivery.
* Utilize source control and code management practices to maintain high-quality, version-controlled data engineering code.
* Contribute to the architectural design of data systems, considering scalability, performance, and resilience.
* Collaborate effectively with multi-functional teams, including data scientists, analysts, and software engineers, to understand data needs and deliver solutions.
* Apply Agility core practices within data engineering workflows to drive efficient development and delivery.
* Engage in service operations and resilience planning for data platforms, ensuring high availability and disaster recovery.
* Communicate complex technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical customers.
* Facilitate technical discussions and workshops to drive consensus and problem-solving.
* Contribute to creating a high-performing team culture through knowledge sharing and mentorship.
* Maintain a strong understanding of Information Security best practices and apply them to data engineering activities.
* Potentially support Digital Project Management activities related to data initiatives.

Job Qualifications:**

* Shown experience as a Data Engineer or in a similar data-focused role.
* Strong proficiency in Scripting languages (e.g., Python, SQL) for data manipulation and automation.
* Expertise in Relational Data Modelling and database design principles.
* Solid understanding of Solution Architecture and System Design for data platforms.
* Experience with Source control and code management tools (e.g., Git).
* Familiarity with Configuration management and release processes.
* Knowledge of Continuous deployment and release strategies.
* Understanding of Agility core practices and agile methodologies.
* Demonstrated Collaboration and Communication skills, both written and verbal.
* Ability to apply Information Security principles to data handling and infrastructure.
* Experience in Service operations and resilience for data systems is a plus.
* Experience in Creating a high performing team environment is desirable.
* Digital Project Management or Facilitation experience is a bonus.
