
About the Role:
Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories (SEL) is seeking a Data Engineer to join our growing team. Our data team supports a wide range of internal customers including Finance, Manufacturing, Purchasing, and Sales by delivering scalable, secure, and high-impact data solutions.
What You’ll Do:
As a Data Engineer, a typical day might include the following:
Design, develop, and maintain robust data pipelines using Azure Data Factory, Azure SQL, Azure Data Lake, Azure Stream Analytics, and Fabric
Work with on-premises tools such as SQL Server, SSIS, and SSAS
Design normalized relational and/or dimensional data models for OLTP and OLAP systems.
Collaborate with stakeholders to design and implement enterprise reporting models.
Administer and optimize our data solutions for performance, scalability and reliability.

Pay Range Data:
Associate Data Engineer, $84,240 – $124,461. Data Engineer, $97,740 – $144,460 Lead Data Engineer, $115,290 – $170,349. Our compensation ranges are based on the responsibilities of the role. Starting pay is determined individually and considers factors such as relevant experience, skills, knowledge, and training. Candidates may be considered at different levels based on their background. As a result, pay may vary to align with the level of the role.
