Job Description

Join our mission! As our new Data Engineer

Yuki stands at the forefront of the accounting and financial administration revolution. Rapidly expanding and driven by our innovative software solutions, we proudly serve more than 70,000 entrepreneurs and hundreds of accountancy firms across Belgium.

At Yuki, we believe better data foundations lead to better products, better decisions, and better customer experiences. To support that ambition, we are looking for a Data Engineer to help build and scale the data foundations behind our analytics, reporting, and AI use cases.

Your mission at Yuki

As part of our Data & RevOps team, you will help build the data foundations that support analytics, reporting, and AI-related initiatives across Yuki.

You will work on a mix of data platform, pipeline, and enablement topics, helping ensure that data is reliable, accessible, and structured in a way that supports both business decision-making and product innovation. Working closely with analysts, data stakeholders, and technical teams, you will contribute to building scalable data solutions that strengthen how Yuki uses data across the organization.

What you get to do

  • Build and maintain data pipelines: Design, build, and maintain reliable ETL/ELT pipelines that move and transform data from operational systems into reporting and analytical environments.

  • Support the data platform: Help shape and evolve Yuki’s data foundations, including warehousing, data models, and engineering best practices that support scalable reporting and analytics.

  • Enable analytics and AI use cases: Prepare high-quality datasets and data flows that support internal reporting, product analytics, and AI-related initiatives.

  • Improve reliability and data quality: Help ensure data pipelines and datasets are robust, well-structured, and reliable enough to support business-critical decision-making.

  • Collaborate across teams: Work closely with analysts, technical teams, and business stakeholders to translate data needs into practical solutions and improve access to trusted data.

  • Prototype and innovate: Contribute to experimentation and prototyping where needed, helping the team test ideas quickly while keeping scalability and maintainability in mind.

  • Document and share knowledge: Create clear documentation and help improve understanding of data structures, flows, and engineering practices across the team.

What we’re looking for

  • A background in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Data Science, or another relevant field

  • At least 2 years of experience building and maintaining ETL/ELT pipelines

  • At least 2 years of hands-on SQL experience, ideally in a data engineering or warehousing context

  • Experience working with data warehousing concepts and analytical data models, preferably with Snowflake

  • Good understanding of data quality, pipeline reliability, and maintainable data structures

  • Comfort working with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, and ability to explain technical topics clearly

  • Strong communication skills and willingness to collaborate closely across teams

  • Fluency in English

Nice to have

  • Experience with Snowflake

  • Experience with Databricks, AWS, or similar modern data tooling

  • Experience with .NET / C#

  • Experience with database-per-tenant architecture

  • Experience supporting data pipelines or datasets for AI / machine learning use cases

Most importantly, you enjoy building reliable data foundations and are excited by the opportunity to help Yuki grow its data capabilities.

What’s in it for you

  • Personal development: A generous training budget available from day one for specialized certifications, courses, training, and more to strengthen your technical expertise.

  • Time off and flexibility: A hybrid working model and generous time-off policies, because we believe work-life balance is important.

  • Well-being & focus: Access to lifestyle coaches, lunches, and other initiatives that contribute to your well-being and focus.

  • Financial security: A competitive base salary with attractive benefits, such as Flex Income Plan (FIP), hospitalization insurance, and a pension plan.

  • Optimal workplace: The best hardware, including an Apple or Dell laptop.

  • Plenty of opportunities: Enjoy the speed and autonomy of an innovative scale-up, backed by the stability, vast resources, and global career network of the Visma Group.

  • Team & international culture: Participate in team-building days and Yuki events that strengthen the close team spirit in a diverse and international environment.
