Job Description

We're ASOS. We blend our flair for fashion with our love of cutting- edge technology, but more importantly were interested in how we can bring the best out of you.

We exist to give people the confidence to be whoever they want to be, and that goes for our people too. At ASOS, you're free to be your true self without judgment, and channel your creativity into a platform used by millions.

ASOS Technology is going through an exciting period of investment and evolution, with several strategic programmes designed to support our continued global growth.

Within ASOS Technology, the Digital Data Engineering team builds high‑quality, scalable data solutions across the ASOS Digital domain. The team works with modern data platforms and engineering practices, supports product teams with data‑driven insights, and helps shape standards that balance speed, quality, and long‑term sustainability.

As a Data Engineer, you’ll contribute to a range of data projects, working closely with engineers, analysts, and architects. You’ll help teams make the most of their data while continuing to grow your own skills through collaboration, learning, and shared problem‑solving.

What you'll be doing:

  • Designing and delivering data solutions using the Microsoft Azure Data Platform
  • Collaborating with other engineers through pairing, code reviews, and shared problem‑solving
  • Supporting teams in understanding data, telemetry, and operational issues
  • Exploring new tools or approaches through proof‑of‑concept work, including performance, data modelling, and cost considerations
  • Working with Lead Data Engineers, Engineering Managers, and Solution Architects to develop and improve engineering standards and practices
  • Building solutions that are reliable, well‑tested, maintainable, and automated through modern CI/CD tooling
  • Contributing to an agile, cross‑functional team and taking shared ownership of delivery quality
  • Staying curious about emerging data technologies and identifying opportunities to apply them where they add business value
