What You Will Do
- Build robust data pipelines to ingest, transform, and consolidate data from diverse sources such as MongoDB, Airtable, and production databases.
- Design dbt models and transformations to standardize multiple tables into clean, production-ready schemas.
- Implement scalable, fault-tolerant data workflows using tools like Fivetran, dbt, SQL, and Python.
- Collaborate with engineers, data scientists, and business stakeholders to ensure data availability, accuracy, and usability.
- Own data quality and reliability across the entire stack, from ingestion through to consumption.
- Continuously improve pipeline performance, monitoring, and scalability to meet the evolving needs of the organization.
Ideal Candidate Background
- Proven experience in data engineering with a strong command of SQL, Python, and modern data stack tools (such as Fivetran, dbt, and Snowflake).
- Experience in building and maintaining large-scale ETL/ELT pipelines across various data sources, including databases and SaaS tools.
- Strong understanding of data modeling, schema design, and transformation best practices.
- Familiarity with data governance, monitoring, and quality assurance processes.
- Ability to work cross-functionally with engineering, product, and operations teams.
Preferred
- Prior experience supporting machine learning workflows or analytics platforms.
- A product-minded approach with the ability to think beyond traditional pipelines to end-to-end data systems.
Compensation and Benefits
$130K–$400K base salary, along with a generous equity grant vested over four years, a $10K housing bonus (if you live within 0.5 miles of the office), a $1K monthly stipend for meals, a free Equinox membership, and comprehensive health insurance.
