Description of the position

Can’t wait to make an impact on the world? You’re not alone. Join us in driving progress in the working world and beyond.
Do you want DIGITAL challenges and FUN? Do you want to make an IMPACT in digital transformation? Join the Tax and Legal Digit@l Asset Factory! The vision of the Digit@l Asset Factory is to be a key driver for growth and profitability and to enable the Deloitte Accountancy, Tax and Legal practice to remain the undisputed digital leader in Belgium, Europe and in the Deloitte global network. The team supports this vision by leveraging technology and Artificial Intelligence to create innovative solutions that differentiate from competition through increased efficiency, quality and an end-to-end globally consistent digital experience.
All team members are expected to proactively apply artificial intelligence (AI) tools and technologies in their daily work to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and productivity. This includes leveraging AI-powered solutions such as GitHub Copilot, Copilot4DevOps, and other relevant platforms to prepare and accelerate deliverables, rather than solely relying on manual creation followed by AI validation. A mindset of continuous AI adoption and innovation is essential to drive smarter workflows and faster outcomes. Additionally, team members will contribute actively to the AI enablement initiatives within the technology function, supporting the integration, optimization, and scaling of AI capabilities across projects and processes. Your journey with us

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines and ETL processes using Databricks and Python.
  • Collaborate with data scientists and analysts to understand data needs and ensure data availability for analytics projects.
  • Implement best practices for data governance, data quality, and security.
  • Develop and optimize data models to support analyses, reporting, and visualizations.
  • Participate in generative AI projects, contributing to the architecture and implementation of AI/ML solutions.
  • Create and maintain documentation for data processes, workflows, and data models.
  • Assist in troubleshooting data issues and optimizing data workflows for performance.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for leveraging data to drive business solutions.
  • Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends related to data engineering and analytics.
  • Share experience and knowledge with team members.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Let's talk about you

  • Bachelor or Master’s degree in Computer Science or other relevant domain.
  • 3+ years of experience in data engineering or a similar role.

  • Familiarity with Azure and its data services.
  • Experience with data visualization tools, preferably PowerBI, to create insightful dashboards and reports.
  • Understanding of modern data architectures and frameworks, including data warehousing and data lakes.
  • Knowledge of data science methodologies and experience working on GenAI projects is a plus.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Result driven, able to work against deadlines.
  • Capable of working in a dynamic project environment.
  • Able to work independently as well as in team.
  • Willing to learn and apply new technologies and best practices;
