Responsibilities:

• Design, build, and maintain robust, scalable, and reliable streaming and batch data pipelines in our modern cloud environment
• Map and profile data lineage from source systems to target environments
• Implement cutting-edge data engineering best practices to guarantee the quality and consistency of our crucial data assets
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues with data feeds, ensuring uninterrupted flow and availability
• Establish and maintain strong communication channels between business and technical teams regarding the strategic use of company data
• Full ownership of the development lifecycle and ability to work independently if necessary

Requirements

About you:

• Experienced data engineer with 3+ years in data integration & real time streaming
• Experience in streaming big datasets using Spark, Flink, Kafka or similar
• Experience with AWS or GCP Cloud data processing solutions
• Experience in programming with Scala or Java
• Experience in SQL query writing and optimisation
• Excellent command of spoken English
• Keen attention to detail and data quality
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment whilst interacting with a variety of different disciplines
• Proven ability to prioritise and deal with problems systematically and provide clear communications regarding the issues, resolution times and solutions
• Experience with IaC tools (e.g. Terraform) and deployment tools (e.g. Github Actions)

And then some nice to haves:

• Hold an academic degree in a quantitative discipline such as computer science or mathematics
• Experience within the iGaming industry and / or regulatory aspect of iGaming would be considered an asset
• Experience with Airflow
• Experience in business analysis and requirements gathering

Experience with data warehousing will be considered an asset
