Your Role

As an AWS Data Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining scalable data solutions on the Amazon Web Services (AWS) platform. You will work closely with data scientists, analysts, and business stakeholders to enable data-driven decision-making by delivering reliable, secure, and high-performance data pipelines. In this role, you will play a key role in:

• Designing and implementing scalable data architectures using AWS services
• Building and maintaining end-to-end data pipelines (batch and streaming)
• Ensuring data quality, integrity, and security across data platforms
• Optimizing data storage and processing for performance and cost efficiency
• Collaborating with cross‑functional teams to understand data requirements and translate them into technical solutions
• Supporting analytics, reporting, and machine learning use cases with well-structured datasets
• Monitoring, troubleshooting, and improving existing data workflows and systems

Top 5 Technical Skills Required

• AWS Data Services – Strong hands-on experience with services such as S3, Glue, Redshift, Athena, Lambda, and EMR
• Data Engineering & ETL – Experience building scalable ETL/ELT pipelines using Python, Spark, or SQL
• Database & Data Warehousing – Solid knowledge of relational and NoSQL databases, data modeling, and warehouse concepts
• Big Data & Streaming – Experience with big data frameworks and streaming technologies (e.g., Spark, Kafka, Kinesis)
• DevOps & Automation – Familiarity with CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code (Terraform or CloudFormation), and monitoring tools
