At 3Shape, we are dedicated to improving treatment and diagnostics for dental patients by providing innovative scanners and advanced software, seamlessly integrated into collaborative workflows for dental professionals worldwide. Our team leverages AI and machine learning to analyze large volumes of medical (dentistry) data, driving a transition from traditional 2D imaging to advanced 3D scan data processing.

The Position

We are currently seeking a skilled and passionate Data Engineer to help us enhance our data infrastructure and analytical capabilities. You will play a key role in building and optimizing data pipelines, ensuring efficient data processing, and supporting advanced analytics and machine learning models.

As a Data Engineer, you will work closely with our Product Management team to understand business needs and translate them into scalable and reliable data solutions. You will also collaborate with cross-functional teams of software developers, data scientists, and cloud engineers to enable real-time and batch data processing solutions.

Your Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines and ETL processes.
• Optimize and automate data workflows using Python (PySpark) and Databricks
  within an Azure cloud environment.
• Collaborate with Product Management to understand data needs and translate them into actionable data strategies.
• Monitor and troubleshoot data-related issues, ensuring high availability and performance of data infrastructure.
• Implement best practices for data governance, security, and compliance.
• Contribute to the evolution of our data architecture to support growing business requirements.

Your Profile

We are looking for someone with:

• A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 4+ years of experience in data engineering or related roles.
• Proficiency in Python (PySpark) for data processing and automation and hands-on experience with Databricks and Azure cloud services
• Knowledge of SQL and database design principles.
• Experience with data modeling, ETL processes, and pipeline orchestration.
• Familiarity with version control systems like Git.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive mindset.
• A high level of English proficiency (written and verbal)
