In this position, you will play a crucial role in migrating data and processes from SAS to Google BigQuery, thus enhancing the data infrastructure. Your key areas of responsibility as Data Consultant:

• Design and implement data pipelines to migrate and transform SAS processes into BigQuery.

• Optimize existing data workflows using Airflow for enhanced efficiency.

• Collaborate with analysts and stakeholders to define data requirements and insights needs.

• Conduct performance tuning of SQL queries and maintain data integrity.

• Monitor and troubleshoot data processes, ensuring minimal downtime and data accuracy.

As an ideal candidate you have:

• 3+ years of experience in data projects with with tech stack including Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and BigQuery.

• Solid foundation in SQL and Python for data manipulation and analysis.

• Hands-on experience with Airflow or similar orchestration tools.

• Information Technology (IT) related degree, a Master’s degree or equivalent.

• Demonstrated ability to migrate and optimize data workflows from legacy systems.

• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

It is not a requirement, but other preferred qualifications would be:

• Familiarity with Power BI and experience with DAX and Power Query.

• Knowledge of data governance practices and data security principles.

• Experience working with additional cloud platforms or tools.

• Understanding of data visualization techniques and reporting strategies.
