Job Description

Pay Grade/Pay Range: Minimum: $10.00 (Hourly N0)

Department/Organization: 206208 - Capstone Poll

Normal Work Schedule: Hours scheduled during 5:00 to 9:00pm, 7 days a week

The Data Clerk conducts scripted interviews over the telephone with persons of varying ages and educational backgrounds. Enter respondents' answers to surveys into the system.

Additional Department Summary: This position involves conducting scripted interviews over the telephone with persons of varying ages and educational backgrounds. During these interviews, one must be able to read written text accurately in a manner that is understandable to Alabama residents of varying ages and educational backgrounds and to accurately record their responses on a computer keyboard.

Required Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma or GED.

Additional Required Department Minimum Qualifications: As part of the application process, the applicant must send an email to Capstone.Poll@ua.edu with the phrase "Data Clerk Application" in the subject line. A mock interview script and instructions and more information about the position will be emailed to the applicant. To complete the application process the applicant must use the emailed instructions to record a mock interview.

Skills and Knowledge: Ability to read aloud clearly and distinctly. Ability to type accurately.
