Your mission, roles and responsibilities

Our IT Department - Global Information Technologies - is looking for a Data Classification and Protection Analyst to be based in Santa Maria da Feira - Portugal.

With more than 70 000 Users Worldwide, Data Classification and Protection (DCP) is becoming a key activity to ensure resilience in Forvia activities in R&D and Production. As a DCP Analyst your job will be to analyze the Data Loss Prevention (DLP) events, identify and assess any potential breach, classify the event accordingly and trigger all the necessary actions to prevent reoccurrence and/or to mitigate data loss consequences. To fulfil your job, you will be integrated into a central team and central point of coordination inside GIT but also in close contact with other IT departments.

Main missions:

• Analyze and understand the Business needs in terms of Data Protection and translate them into Data Protection policies
• Analyze, classify and follow DLP events
• Actively involves the Business in the event analysis and classification when necessary
• Identify and report on systematic breaches and proposed corrective actions
• Handle internal customer requests and reported issues
• Identify new tools and technologies that improve the purpose of data/document protection leading to their adoption
• Support Cybersecurity strategy when it comes to new challenges or to improvement actions

Your profile and competencies to succeed

The ideal candidate will be/have:

• University degree in IT
• Data analyst background with real appetite for technical data analysis
• 1-2 years’ experience with Data Loss Prevention and/or Digital Right Management on any tool (Symantec, Netskope, Palo Alto, Microsoft, Forcepoint, MacAfee, CASB application, …)
• Certification in IT system administration and scripting analysis are a plus
• Previous experience in an international company or R&D center confronted with data leakage prevention is a plus
• Fluency in English mandatory
• Very good verbal and written communication skills required. Must be able to: effectively communicate and interact with the Business and within IT technicians.
• Open minded and strong facility to adapt to new situations
