Your Team

The ASX Data office team sits within the broader Enterprise Enablement team within the Enterprise Customer & Operations and owns the Data Management frameworks, policies, and execution of Data Strategy ASX Data Office is responsible for ensuring the data management principals and standards are cascaded to all ASX business units and governing policy compliance The team owns several policies relating to Data Management (OM), Data Breach management, and Data governance framework Data Office closely works with the enterprise architecture function and projects to delivers target state data management uplift with right data controls

The team also assists with the establishment of standards, uplift and ongoing training and support to ASX Business units.

Key Duties & responsibilities

  • Own, design and continuously improve the Data Office intake ("front door") process, including driving automation, tooling and workflow optimisation (eg, MS Forms, SharePoint, JIRA routing and tracking)
  • Act as the first point of contact for project teams and business stakeholders-explaining requirements, guiding submissions, and setting clear expectations.
  • Perform initial data impact assessments on incoming requests (scope, CDA/CDE, lifecycle impacts, downstream dependencies, privacy/risk triggers)
  • Identify gaps, ambiguity, and incomplete submissions; collaborate with requestors to clarify scope, outcomes, and data needs before delivery proceeds
  • Ensure the right Data owners, Data Management Specialists, Platform specialists and governance SMEs are engaged early to avoid rework and delivery risk
  • Translate intake outcomes into actionable data management requirements (e g, Data office artefacts, data quality, OLP, Data Incidents, Data controls, remediation activities etc)
  • Provide high-quality effort/complexity estimation inputs for implementing data management requirements (what work entails, sequencing, dependencies)
  • Maintain end-to-end tracking of requests through to closure, including status visibility, milestones, decisions, and audit-ready records
  • Identify and escalate risks, issues and dependencies early, working with stakeholders to resolve or route to the appropriate governance or decision-making forums
  • Track and report on intake volumes, status and key metrics, providing transparency to stakeholders on progress, bottlenecks and delivery alignment
  • Maintain and enhance intake templates, guidance and knowledge assets to drive high-quality submissions and improve stakeholder self-service
  • Ensure oversight of data management obligations and controls aligned to enterprise frameworks and regulatory expectations (e g, risk, privacy etc)

Your Experience and Qualifications

Must Have

  • Proven experience managing or coordinating a data or project delivery ("front door") process end-to-end within a Data Office or governance function
  • Strong ability to design and optimise processes, including implementing automation and workflow tooling (e g, JIRA, ServiceNow, SharePoint/MS Forms)
  • Demonstrated stakeholder engagement capability, acting as a trusted advisor to guide teams through governance processes.
  • Practical experience applying data governance principles, including requirements identification, ownership, and controls
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to assess impacts, identify risks, and clarify ambiguous requests.

Nice to Have

  • Experience in data remediation, issue management or control uplift initiatives.
  • Exposure to enterprise risk, compliance, and regulatory environments (e g, privacy, audit)
  • Familiarity with data management artefacts such as data quality, metadata, lineage or access management Experience working within structured project or delivery frameworks
  • Relevant certifications or qualifications in data, risk, business analysis or project delivery
