Job Description

Data Centre Solutions Engineer (Electrical) – Sydney

About the Role

Were looking for a technically adept and commercially minded Solutions Engineer with an electrical engineering background to help design, deliver, and optimise modular data centre infrastructure across the Asia-Pacific region.
You' ll play a pivotal role in solution development, client engagement, and technical delivery — shaping end-to-end solutions that bring innovative, prefabricated data centre systems to life.

This role suits someone who thrives at the intersection of engineering, design, and business development, with a passion for scalable, energy-efficient infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as a technical lead during the solution and presales lifecycle, collaborating with clients to define and refine project requirements.
  • Design, specify, and present fit-for-purpose modular data centre solutions, with a particular focus on electrical infrastructure, including HV/LV systems, UPS, and power distribution.
  • Lead technical workshops, feasibility assessments, and client presentations, translating complex requirements into practical and commercially viable solutions.
  • Develop scope documents, detailed design inputs, and cost estimates in collaboration with engineering, production, and commercial teams.
  • Support bids, RFP responses, and strategic proposals across hyperscale, edge, and enterprise data centre projects.
  • Align design documentation and solution architectures with delivery capabilities, material availability, and modular construction principles.
  • Stay across industry trends, sustainability measures, and modular deployment innovations to help refine standard solution offerings.

What Were Looking For

  • Strong technical grounding in electrical systems, including power distribution, redundancy design, and energy efficiency.
  • Familiarity with data centre design standards and compliance frameworks for modular or prefabricated systems.
  • Excellent client-facing, presentation, and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Commercial acumen with the ability to balance technical quality and project value.
  • Tertiary qualifications in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.

Why Join

  • Work at the forefront of modular and scalable data infrastructure, shaping solutions that redefine how data centres are delivered.
  • Influence major projects for leading digital infrastructure clients.
  • Collaborate in a supportive and innovative environment with strong technical depth and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Enjoy a culture that values initiative, adaptability, and continuous learning.
