About the Opportunity

Join a large-scale data center construction project supporting multiple data halls in Red Oak, Texas. This is an excellent opportunity for experienced data center cabling technicians to work on a high-profile deployment with substantial overtime potential and the possibility of contract extension or permanent employment based on performance.

We are seeking experienced Data Center Cable Technicians with hands-on experience installing and supporting fiber optic and copper cabling infrastructure in data center environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install, pull, route, dress, and label fiber optic and copper cabling.
  • Perform rack and stack activities for network and server hardware.
  • Install and connect pre-terminated fiber cabling into cassettes and distribution systems.
  • Support backbone fiber installations, including high-count fiber infrastructure such as 144-count and 288-count fiber.
  • Complete fiber and copper terminations according to project specifications.
  • Maintain cable organization and documentation throughout installation activities.
  • Assist with testing and troubleshooting using Fluke test equipment and OTDR testing tools.
  • Follow all data center standards, safety procedures, and quality installation practices.
  • Collaborate with team members and project leadership to meet project deadlines.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 1 year of hands-on data center cabling experience.
  • Experience with fiber optic and copper cable installation, pulling, routing, dressing, labeling, rack and stack, and terminations.
  • Exposure to data center hardware installation and troubleshooting.
  • Experience with fiber testing and troubleshooting tools, including Fluke and OTDR, is a plus.
  • Data center hyperscale experience strongly preferred.
  • Strong reliability, attendance, work ethic, and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Positive attitude, growth mindset, and willingness to learn.

Schedule & Work Environment

  • 12-hour shifts.
  • Initial schedule is night shift: 6:30 PM - 6:30 AM.
  • Must be available to work 6-7 days per week, including weekends as needed.
  • Opportunity to transition to day or night shifts during later project phases.
  • Fast-paced construction and data center environment.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Red Oak, TX.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $30.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
