Job Description

The Logistics Control Tower Manager will lead a high-performing team responsible for managing global freight operations supporting data center infrastructure. Based on Client site in Marina One Singapore, this role requires a technically adept leader with at least 8 years of people management experience, deep expertise in logistics technology platforms, and a proven ability to build and maintain excellent client relationships. The successful candidate will drive operational excellence through data-driven decision-making, process automation, and advanced analytics, while serving as the primary point of contact for both internal and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

Team Leadership & Management

· Lead, mentor, and develop the Control Tower team, fostering a culture of technical excellence, innovation, and continuous improvement.

· Set clear objectives, monitor team performance using digital dashboards and analytics, and provide regular feedback and coaching.

· Manage resource allocation and ensure adequate coverage for global freight operations, leveraging workforce management tools.

Freight Operations & Coordination

· Oversee end-to-end global freight movements for data center projects and real-time tracking solutions.

· Monitor shipment status through integrated platforms, proactively resolve issues using data-driven root cause analysis, and escalate risks as needed.

· Collaborate with carriers, vendors, and internal teams to optimize logistics processes through automation and digital workflows.

Client Relationship Management

· Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, building strong relationships and understanding their technical and business requirements.

· Communicate proactively with clients using digital reporting tools regarding shipment status, exceptions, and solutions.

· Address client concerns promptly and professionally, ensuring high levels of satisfaction and technical transparency.

KPI Management & Analytics

· Define, track, and manage key performance indicators (KPIs) for the Control Tower team and logistics operations using business intelligence (BI) tools.

· Analyze KPI data to identify trend, drive improvement, and report results to senior management and client in business meetings

· Ensure the team meets or exceeds established performance targets, leveraging predictive analytics and machine learning where applicable.

Strategic Planning & Process Improvement

· Identify opportunities to enhance logistics efficiency, reduce costs, and improve service quality through process automation and digital transformation.

· Implement best practices and drive process standardization across global operations using Lean, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies.

· Analyze logistics data to inform decision-making and support continuous improvement initiatives.

Compliance & Risk Management

· Ensure all freight operations comply with relevant international regulations, company policies, and data center security requirements.

· •Manage risk by developing contingency plans, maintaining robust digital documentation, and conducting regular sox compliance checks

Required Qualifications

· Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field.

· Minimum 8 years of experience managing teams in a logistics or freight control tower environment, with hands-on experience in logistics technology platforms.

· Demonstrated success in building and maintaining client relationships, preferably in a global and technical context.

· Strong understanding of international freight operations, customs, compliance, and data center logistics.

· Proficiency in transportation management systems (TMS), warehouse management systems (WMS), and business intelligence (BI) tools.

· Excellent leadership and communication skills, technical problem-solving, and organizational skills.

· Effective communication and stakeholders management skills

· Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic, and technology-driven environment.

· Experience with process automation, digital transformation, and data analytics in logistics.

· Project management experience, preferably with technical projects.
