Your future role
Take on a new challenge and apply your virtualization and infrastructure expertise in a cutting-edge field. You’ll work alongside a collaborative and innovative team.
You'll play a key role in ensuring the reliability, performance, and scalability of our data centers. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business, including infrastructure, network, database, and application teams, to deliver secure and well-managed services, while optimizing and evolving our on-prem environments.
You’ll specifically take care of deploying and administering VMware vSphere environments, managing virtualization networking, and administering both Windows and Linux servers, but also implementing backups and disaster recovery plans and testing them periodically.
We’ll look to you for:
Deploying and administering VMware vSphere environments (ESXi, vCenter, clusters, HA/DRS, Lifecycle Manager, templates)
Managing virtualization networking (vSwitches/distributed switches, port groups, VLANs, NIC teaming/LACP)
Administering Windows Server (AD, DNS, DHCP, GPO, file/print, clustering) and Linux (SUSE/Ubuntu/RHEL: users, services, systemd, security, patching)
Operating storage and data services supporting virtualization (SAN/NAS, iSCSI/NFS, multipathing, VMFS, vSAN)
Automating routine tasks using PowerShell/PowerCLI and/or Bash
Planning and implementing OS, hypervisor, and firmware patching
Troubleshooting complex incidents across compute, storage, network, and OS layers
Maintaining clear documentation (diagrams, SOPs, build guides)
Engaging with vendors for support cases, licensing, and best practices
All about you
We value passion and attitude over experience. That’s why we don’t expect you to have every single skill. Instead, we’ve listed some that we think will help you succeed and grow in this role:
Degree in IT, Computer Science, or equivalent practical experience
7+ years in enterprise infrastructure roles with a focus on server virtualization and data center operations
Deep experience with VMware vSphere (vCenter, ESXi, clusters, HA/DRS, vDS, templates, lifecycle/patching)
Strong administration skills across Windows and Linux Server (SUSE/Ubuntu/RHEL)
Hands-on experience managing Microsoft SQL Server in production (install/configure, backup/restore, patching, monitoring; HA/DR exposure is a plus)
Solid grounding in networking concepts and implementation for virtualized and on-prem environments (VLANs, trunking, LACP, subnets, routing basics, firewalls, VPN)
Scripting proficiency in PowerShell/PowerCLI and/or Bash for automation
Experience with storage technologies (SAN/NAS, iSCSI/NFS) and their integration with virtualization
Strong troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills
