Job Description

Purpose

The purpose of this role is to create the initial infrastructure architecture design aligned with client requirements and approved standards while supporting implementation, automation, and compliance activities for operational efficiency.

Area of Responsibility

Requirement Gathering-"Participate in requirement gathering discussions for infrastructure components, platforms, tools and document technical requirements."

Infrastructure improvement areas-Analyze the client’s current and target state infrastructure environment, assist in identifying gaps, and discuss findings with Infrastructure Domain Architect - II

Infrastructure Architecture Design-Create the initial infrastructure architecture design based on client requirements and ensuring it aligns with approved architecture standards and guidelines.

Implementation & Deployment Oversight-Execute approved configurations and coordinate with technical teams on deploying infrastructure components basis defined standards. Monitor compliance and report deviations for corrective action.

Automation & Optimization-"Execute automation scripts and apply defined integration patterns for infrastructure provisioning, configuration, and monitoring to maintain operational consistency and efficiency."

Governance & Compliance-Ensure adherence to established infrastructure security, operational standards and compliance requirements during implementation. Support infrastructure compliance checks under guidance.

Performance & Scalability-Support infrastructure capacity planning, resource utilization, and performance monitoring using approved standards and tools

Key Responsibilities

Data Center Operations

• Perform day-to-day data center operational activities.
• Execute server installation, decommissioning, racking, stacking, and cabling activities.
• Monitor data center infrastructure and respond to operational alerts.
• Support hardware troubleshooting and replacement activities.
• Manage physical asset inventory and maintain accurate documentation.

Infrastructure Support

• Support network devices, servers, storage systems, and related infrastructure.
• Coordinate with remote engineering teams for incident resolution.
• Perform routine health checks and preventive maintenance.
• Ensure availability and reliability of critical infrastructure.

Vendor & Facilities Coordination

• Coordinate with on-site vendors and maintenance providers.
• Support facility activities including power, cooling, and security-related tasks.
• Escort third-party vendors during maintenance windows when required.

Compliance & Security

• Adhere to data center security, safety, and compliance requirements.
• Ensure all activities are performed according to organizational policies and procedures.
• Support audit and compliance activities.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field.
• 4-8 years of experience in Data Center Operations or Infrastructure Support.
• Hands-on experience with servers, storage, and networking equipment.
• Strong understanding of data center environments and operational processes.
• Knowledge of ITIL processes (Incident, Change, Problem Management).
• Experience working in mission-critical environments.

Technical Skills

• Linux and Windows Server administration.
• Basic networking knowledge (TCP/IP, LAN/WAN, Switches, Routers).
• Server hardware troubleshooting.
• Asset management and documentation.
• Monitoring tools and ticketing systems.
• Remote hands and break-fix support.

Mandatory Skills:

• 3-8 years of experience in Data Center Operations or Infrastructure Support.

Soft Skills

• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent troubleshooting and analytical abilities.
• Flexible to support after-hours and emergency activities when required.
