Critical Environment Escort / Data Center Operations Support (Entry-Level)

Position Overview

We are seeking an Entry-Level Critical Environment Escort to support daily operations within a large-scale data center. This role is responsible for escorting vendors, contractors, and visitors throughout secure areas while ensuring all safety, security, and operational procedures are followed.

This is an excellent entry point into the data center industry and offers exposure to critical infrastructure, facilities operations, electrical and mechanical systems, and data center environments.

Responsibilities

• Escort vendors, contractors, and approved visitors throughout the data center campus.
• Ensure compliance with all site safety, security, and access-control procedures.
• Monitor contractor activities and verify work is performed within approved areas.
• Maintain accurate logs of visitor access and escort activities.
• Conduct routine walkthroughs of data halls, equipment rooms, and support spaces.
• Report safety concerns, security incidents, or operational issues to site leadership.
• Assist with badge audits, access requests, and facility documentation.
• Support inventory tracking and basic administrative tasks as needed.
• Coordinate with security, facilities, and operations teams to ensure work is completed safely.
• Follow all established change-management, safety, and escalation procedures.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous security, facilities, warehouse, military, construction, or customer-service experience.
• Interest in Data Centers, Critical Facilities, or Information Technology.
• Experience working in a professional or industrial environment.
• Familiarity with safety practices and workplace compliance procedures.

Physical Requirements

• Walk data center campuses and construction areas throughout the shift.
• Lift and carry up to 25 pounds when needed.
• Ability to climb stairs and navigate secure facility environments.
• Comfortable working around active construction, electrical, and mechanical infrastructure.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Castroville, TX.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $26.00 - $29.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
