Landis+Gyr is seeking an experienced IT professional in Data Center and Cloud IaaS technologies to work in a Global IT Infrastrucuture team. This job role requires mid-senior level experience in the IT infrastructure areas of DC & cloud administration, monitoring, technical support, configuration management, cross-collaboration, and team play skills. The main activities are to support Windows and Linux servers in both on-premises DC environments and Google Cloud Platform. This includes backup, virtualization, storage, Microsoft SQL and other systems related to the operations and support of data center and cloud environments. • Solve incidents, problems, escalations & requests for change (RFC).
• Support Linux and Windows operating systems in GCP and on-premises
• Perform patching, backups, configuration management, monitoring of servers
• Server support (HW, Hypervisor, storage)
• Asset management and CMDB updating
• Support SQL servers/databases
• Creation and decommissioning of servers
• Local hands and liaison for network support
• Other general infrastructure local site support
• Supports and adheres to Company’s core values.
• Performs other duties or responsibilities as assigned or required.
• Supports and adheres to Company’s Code of Conduct and Ethics Policy.
• Represents Company in a positive, professional manner when working with both internal and external customers.
• To work according of the I.M.S. (Integrated Management System) which includes ISO 9K, 18K, 14K, 27K, and 22301

Required Skills:

• Microsoft Active Directory
• TCP/IP knowledge and WAN familiarity
• Windows Server 2019 to 2025 (installation, role management, event analysis & troubleshooting).
• Linux server implementation, support and troubleshooting
• Virtualization: Hyper-V
• Microsoft SQL: Create and manage databases and users, indexing, partitioning and licensing
• SCVMM, Nagios, PowerShell, GSUTIL, Terraform.
• Commvault or other backup/restore tools
• ServiceNow ITSM platform
• Nagios monitoring
• Dell Technologies: Hyperconvergence AX and VxRail
• English-speaking: Proficiency based on Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) is C1 (Advanced).

Required Experience:

• Required Minimum Level of Education: Bachelors Degree
• Required Minimum Years of Experience: 5+ to 7
• IT graduate degree
• At least 5+ years of solid experience with IT Data Center and Cloud infrastructure technologies
• Has worked in a global team in a multinational company

Required Certifications:

• Microsoft server administration
• Linux administration in at least in one of these distribution (Debian, Red Hat or Suse).
• Cloud Administration (GCP, Azure or AWS)

Desired: DPM, Commvault, Nagios, GSUTIL, PowerShell, Terraform skills/experience
