Job Title: Data Catalogue Expert
Location: Luxembourg (Hybrid – 80% On-site / 20% Remote)
Contract Duration: 4 Months
Start Date: ASAP

We are seeking an experienced Data Catalogue Expert to support the optimisation and governance of an enterprise data catalogue environment. The role focuses on metadata management, semantic modelling, taxonomy design, and improving data discoverability and governance practices.

Key Responsibilities

• 
  Assess and optimise the current data catalogue implementation
• 
  Configure and enhance metadata management practices and semantic layers
• 
  Define metadata standards, naming conventions, taxonomies, and governance rules
• 
  Improve data discoverability, usability, and trust across the organisation
• 
  Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders, data stewards, and data owners
• 
  Support integration between the data catalogue and broader data platform ecosystem
• 
  Provide documentation, best practices, and knowledge transfer

Requirements

• 
  7–10 years of experience in data governance, metadata management, or data management
• 
  Hands-on experience with data catalogue tools (OpenMetadata experience preferred)
• 
  Strong understanding of semantic modelling, business glossaries, taxonomies, and governance frameworks
• 
  Experience working with modern data platforms and data architectures
• 
  Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
• 
  Fluent in English; French is preferred
