Could you be the full-time Data Catalog Analyst in Bangalore we’re looking for?

Your future role

Take on a new challenge and apply your data governance expertise in a cutting-edge field. You’ll work alongside collaborative and forward-thinking teammates.

You'll play a pivotal role in driving the adoption and operational use of Alstom’s Data Catalog, ensuring alignment with our Data Governance principles and standards. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business (including Data Owners, Data Stewards, and business users), support functional design and testing activities, and contribute to training and documentation initiatives.

You’ll specifically take care of structuring user needs and functional requirements, but also support change management and communication activities to foster adoption of the Data Catalog.

We’ll look to you for:

  • Collecting and formalizing user needs

  • Defining and structuring functional requirements and user stories

  • Supporting functional testing and validation activities

  • Preparing and facilitating workshops with business users, Data Owners, and Data Stewards

  • Contributing to training materials, user guides, and onboarding documentation

  • Ensuring high-quality and structured documentation (e.g., metadata standards, glossary usage, catalog guidelines)

  • Driving adoption of the Data Catalog through change management and communication efforts

  • Ensuring alignment between Data Catalog usage and Data Governance rules, roles, and processes

  • Contributing to Data Governance community activities as needed

  • Degree in a relevant field (e.g., Data Management, Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent experience)

  • Basic understanding of Data Governance and Data Catalog principles (e.g., metadata, glossary, ownership) and data modeling

  • Basic knowledge or experience with the Collibra platform is a plus

  • Ability to translate business needs into structured and formalized requirements

  • Strong skills in documentation, structuration, and synthesizing information

  • Experience preparing and facilitating workshops and training sessions

  • Organized, rigorous, and user-oriented mindset

  • Excellent communication skills with both business and technical stakeholders

  • Fluent English (written and spoken)
