Key Responsibilities:
Design DB2 ↔ Azure integration and hybrid data architectures.
Define cloud-based
Operational Data Store (ODS)
strategy and data models.
Implement DB2-to-Azure ingestion using
CDC, replication, streaming, and batch
.
Design Azure-to-DB2
write-back/mirroring
solutions.
Design data pipelines using ADF, Databricks, Synapse, Event Hub, and Azure Functions.
Define real-time and near-real-time data synchronization patterns.
Establish data governance, lineage, security, reconciliation, and audit frameworks.
Drive target-state architecture, modernization roadmap, and cost optimization.
Provide technical leadership, architecture reviews, and guidance to engineering teams.
Required Skills:
10+ years in Data Architecture/Data Engineering.
Strong expertise in
IBM DB2/Mainframe and PostgreSQL
.
Strong Azure data platform experience:
ADF, ADLS Gen2, Databricks, Synapse, Event Hub/Service Bus
.
Hands-on knowledge of
CDC and replication
technologies such as Q Replication, Kafka, or Debezium.
Experience with
ODS, hybrid architecture, data modeling, and bi-directional data flows
.
Strong SQL and data consistency/reconciliation knowledge.
Programming experience in
Python/Java
.
Experience with DataStage or similar integration tools.
Snowflake and data governance experience is an added advantage.
