Job Description
A Data Architect should demonstrate commitment to delivering distinctive service. This position will be responsible for developing, optimizing, and maintaining conceptual and logical database models.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide distinctive service to clients and prospects, in person and over the telephone. Respond to client inquiries and satisfactorily resolve client issues. Support firm-wide achievement of the three-ring standard (all phones answered by a live person within three rings). Develop database solutions to store and retrieve firm information effectively and securely. Assess database implementation procedures to ensure they comply with internal and external procedures. Install and configure information systems to ensure functionality. Analyze structural requirements for new software and applications. Migrate data from legacy systems to new solutions. Design conceptual and logical flowchart data diagrams. Improve system performance by conducting tests, troubleshooting, and integrating new elements or features. Optimize new and current database systems by recommending solutions to improve. Analyze system requirements and implement migration methods for existing data. Define security and backup procedures. Educate internal partners through training and individual support. Meet all the client's financial needs, both business and personal, and refer clients to other specialty areas such as Trust, Investments, Insurance, Treasury Management, etc. as appropriate. Assist other team members as needed to ensure delivery of distinctive service. Perform other related duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications
Minimum Education: College degree is preferred -- computer science, computer engineering, or related field.
Minimum Experience: Minimum of 10 years' experience in information technology. Minimum of 5 years' experience in a data-driven function or role such as Data Governance Analyst, Business Systems Analyst, or similar role applying principles and practices for data architecture.
Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software. Proficient in data modeling and design, including SQL development and database administration. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Effective analytical and problem-solving ability with a strong attention to detail. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of clients and colleagues. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, meet deadlines, and create and/or improve processes. Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively and prioritize daily tasks. Ability to adapt to a changing environment and handle multiple priorities. Excellent client service skills. Tact and diplomacy in dealing with both clients and team members. The physical activities of this job include but are not limited to the ability to stand and sit for prolonged periods of time, use of manual dexterity, verbal communication, visual acuity, repetitive motion, and the ability to hear. Often long periods of mental concentration are required. Other activities are the ability to bend, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, walk, push, pull, lift, and grasp.
