DATAARCHITECT

tojoin Finnair’s Digital Transformation & Architecture team.

In this role, you willbe responsible fordesigning and evolving Finnair’s enterprise data architecture, ensuring that data assets are well‑structured, reusable, governed, and aligned with business needs. You will work closely with data platform engineering, analytics, enterprise architecture, and business teams to enable high‑quality analytics, data products, and AI‑driven use cases.

This role plays a critical part in Finnair’s data platform transformation and data‑driven strategy execution.

What You Will Do:

As a Data Architect, you will:

  • Design andmaintainconceptual, logical, and physical data models across key business and operational domains

  • Define and evolve enterprise data architecture principles, target state, standards, and reference models

  • Design architectural structures for data products anddomainbaseddata ownership

  • Ensure data products are wellmodelled, reusable, and aligned with business domains

  • Work closely with data platform engineering to align data pipelines, storage, and modelling approaches with architecture standards

  • Support the definition of data contracts, metadata structures, and semantic models (e.g.Snowflake, DBT, BI semantic layers)

  • Ensure scalable and efficient data platform design aligned with enterprise architecture and cloud platforms

  • Contribute to data governance, data quality, lineage, metadata, and lifecycle management

  • Enable analytics, AI, and reporting teams by providingwelldefined, highqualitydata structures

  • Collaborate with enterprise, solution, andintegrationarchitects to ensure end-to-end data coherence

  • Participatein architecture governance and design reviews

Whatwe arelooking for?

  • Typically,5–12+ years of experience in data architecture, data engineering, or data related areas or architecture.

  • Strong skills in enterprise datamodelling(conceptual, logical, physical)

  • Experience with modern cloud data platforms (e.g.Snowflake, AWS data services)

  • Understanding ofdata products, data governance, metadata, and data quality

  • Ability to translate business needs into scalable, reusable data structures

  • Comfortable working with analytics, AI, and reporting teams

  • Strong analytical mindset with clear communication skills

  • Collaborative, structured, and quality‑oriented way of working
