The Data Architect designs, develops, and maintains enterprise data architecture with a primary focus on the Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW). This role establishes standards for data modeling, integration, and governance to support analytics and reporting across the organization. The Data Architect partners closely with BI Developers, Data Analysts, Database Administrators, and business leaders and serves as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for enterprise data and analytics solutions.

What You Will Do

  • Design, develop, and maintain enterprise data architecture and the Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW)
  • Define and enforce standards for data modeling, ETL development, and data integration
  • Develop and optimize SQL queries, views, stored procedures, and database objects
  • Design and support ETL processes integrating data from multiple enterprise systems
  • Partner with BI Developers, Data Analysts, and stakeholders to translate data requirements into scalable solutions
  • Develop data models supporting descriptive, predictive, and statistical analysis
  • Maintain data dictionary, metadata, and architectural documentation
  • Troubleshoot, debug, and tune data warehouse and ETL solutions
  • Configure and maintain data security aligned with best practices and regulatory requirements
  • Plan and deliver data and analytics initiatives, including timelines and deliverables
  • Serve as a data and analytics SME for internal customers
  • Ensure compliance with HIPAA, data governance, and production change management standards
  • Perform other duties as assigned

What You Will Need

  • Associate’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (required)
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (preferred)
  • 5+ years of experience in Business Intelligence Development, Data Engineering, or Database Administration
  • Experience with Data Architecture and/or ETL development (preferred)
  • Advanced SQL expertise, including stored procedures, views, functions, and complex logic
  • Hands-on experience with ETL tools (e.g., SSIS or equivalent)
  • Strong knowledge of data warehousing concepts and dimensional modeling
  • Experience with analytics and visualization platforms (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Cognos)

Preferred Certifications

  • Analytics or Business Intelligence certifications
  • Epic Caboodle ETL Developer and/or Caboodle Administration Certification
  • MCSE, MCSA, or MCSD certification
