Employment Type: Internship (3 months) → Full-Time
Work Setup: Hybrid (3 days onsite)

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Data Annotation Specialist to join our team. This hybrid role involves labeling, categorizing, and validating web content on the Web Data Platform (WDP) to improve the accuracy of our spam detection and content classification systems.

The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, a strong understanding of web content and user experience, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Data Annotation on UHRS & WDP:

• Accurately label web pages and URLs as spam or non-spam on the UHRS platform.

• Identify and annotate spam indicators such as deceptive content, misleading links, and aggressive advertising.

• Categorize spam types (e.g., phishing, malware, adware) for precise identification.

• Label and classify webpage content using the Web Data Platform (WDP) according to Microsoft’s guidelines:

• Primary Content: Directly relevant to user queries (e.g., main articles, product details, recipe steps).

• Secondary Content: Tangential or unrelated elements (e.g., ads, suggested articles).

• Focus on describing the purpose, function, or contextual significance of objects or elements when labeling.

Data Quality Assurance:

• Ensure the accuracy and consistency of annotated data on the UHRS and WDP platforms.

• Adhere to strict quality control standards to maintain data integrity.

• Identify and report issues or inconsistencies in the annotation process.

Continuous Learning:

• Stay updated on emerging spam techniques and evolving guidelines.

• Adapt to changes in annotation requirements and tools on the UHRS and WDP platforms.

• Contribute to the improvement of annotation processes and guidelines.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Linguistics, Data Science, or a related field.

• Prior experience in data annotation, labeling, or QA roles (preferred).

• Strong understanding of annotation tools and platforms.

• Excellent communication and training skills.

• Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

• Ability to work collaboratively across cross-functional teams.

• Basic understanding of web technologies and internet security concepts.

• Strong organizational and time management skills.

Salary:

• Internship: 50,000 PKR/month

• After Internship (upon successful completion): 70,000 PKR/month

• After Probation (3 months probation period): 80,000 PKR/month
