About the Organization

The Value Maximization Group (VMG) is an agile, efficient and innovative organization focused on unlocking value across a broad portfolio of core Pfizer products and therapeutic areas. VMG leverages differentiated go-to-market models to maximize the opportunity of each brand and therapy area.

Main Purpose:

The Data & Analytics Lead transforms commercial data into actionable insights that support performance and strategic decision-making across VMG. The role connects financial and non-financial performance indicators, integrates data from multiple sources, and develops analytical models, forecasts and reporting solutions.

In addition, the role helps business teams leverage AI-enabled approaches to improve decision-making, productivity and commercial outcomes. Working closely with commercial and cross-functional stakeholders, the role embeds data, analytics and AI into business planning and execution.

The position reports to the VMG Commercial Excellence and Innovation Lead.

Your responsibilities:

Data, Analytics & Insights

  • Generate actionable insights from commercial data to support strategic and operational decision-making.
  • Develop dashboards, reporting solutions and analytical tools that enable performance monitoring.
  • Identify trends, risks and opportunities through analysis of market dynamics and business performance.
  • Translate complex data into clear recommendations for stakeholders.

Performance Management & Governance

  • Define and maintain KPI frameworks, analytical methodologies and data quality standards across VMG.
  • Monitor business performance through financial and non-financial indicators.
  • Ensure consistency, accuracy and transparency of analytical outputs.
  • Support fact-based decision-making through robust performance measurement.

Forecasting & Business Planning

  • Develop forecasts, business models and scenario analyses to support planning and investment decisions.
  • Provide forward-looking insights on market developments and business performance.
  • Assess opportunities, risks and performance drivers to inform strategic choices.

AI Enablement & Analytics Innovation

  • Drive adoption of AI-enabled analytics and decision-support capabilities across VMG.
  • Partner with teams to identify and implement AI use cases that improve decision-making, productivity and business outcomes.
  • Support stakeholders in embedding approved AI capabilities into day-to-day workflows.
  • Collaborate with the AI & Ecosystem Lead to scale AI adoption and drive business value.

Business Partnership & Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with Commercial Leadership and Brand teams, markets and cross-functional stakeholders to define and deliver the analytics agenda.
  • Translate business needs into analytical and AI-enabled solutions.
  • Develop scalable approaches that can be leveraged across brands, therapy areas and markets.
  • Act as a trusted advisor on business performance, data, analytics and AI opportunities.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree required. MBA or other advanced degree preferred.
  • Minimum 6 years of relevant professional experience.
  • Strong analytical, quantitative and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in advanced querying, data management and analytical techniques.
  • Experience with statistical analysis, forecasting and predictive modeling.
  • Knowledge of the pharmaceutical industry, healthcare environment and pharmaceutical data sources.
  • Ability to translate business questions and needs into analytical projects and actionable insights.
  • Experience developing dashboards, performance reporting and analytical solutions.
  • Understanding of KPI governance, data quality and performance measurement.
  • Demonstrated ability to leverage AI and automation within business or analytical workflows.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to present findings to diverse audiences.
  • Experience working effectively across functions, markets and diverse stakeholder groups.
  • Fluency in spoken and written English.
