Data and AI Engineer

Join one of our key growth areas as Mother & Child Care – Women’s Health business (Philips Avent). You’ll be working as Data and AI Engineer and be part of the R&D organization contributing to the innovation roadmap realization. You will participate in AI development activities, contributing to the streamlining of development, testing, deployment, monitoring processes and development process improvement. You will collaborate extensively on technical requirements, designs, and quality standards to ensure the robustness and scalability of AI solutions. This role has a strong focus on AI DevOps, including the design and implementation of AI agent systems, while supporting machine learning model training, deployment, and application across both DevOps workflows and product features.

Your role:

  • Collaborate with business, market, and IT stakeholders to define clear, actionable requirements, and contribute to technical design discussions to ensure robust and maintainable AI solutions.

  • Support the implementation and validation of AI agent systems, including LLM-based workflows, prompt-driven features, and automation tools.

  • Assist in developing small-scale machine learning or deep learning solutions for product features or internal R&D tools.

  • Handle data processing activities including cleansing, validation, and verification, and ensure the overall quality of data and AI solutions through structured testing, validation, and defect resolution.

  • Train, retrain, and fine-tune small-scale machine learning models using statistical analysis, validation techniques, and test results to continuously improve performance and adapt to evolving data and business requirements.

  • Integrate deployable machine learning models into end products, ensuring system compatibility, performance, scalability, and reliability.

  • Work closely with cross-functional teams in an agile and collaborative manner (e.g., pairing, code reviews), contribute to DevOps activities across development, testing, deployment, and monitoring, and support knowledge sharing within the team.

You're the right fit if:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Management, Data Science, Econometrics, Artificial Intelligence, Applied Mathematics, Statistics OR Vocational Education in Information Technology or equivalent.

  • Experience with Python is required; familiarity with other programming languages is a plus.

  • Some experience in Data Handling, Data Analytics, AI Modeling or equivalent. SW engineering skill able to integrate data analysis and AI tools and deep-learning library (Pytorch, Langchain, Numpy, etc...) is a plus.

  • Exposure to LLM-based solutions, AI agent concepts, or prompt-based development is a plus.

  • Good communication skills at all levels (fluent in English) to communicate with our multi-national team.

  • Composure, conflict management, timely decision making, listening skills, self-motivation, and perseverance are all requirements of this position.

  • Able to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented, new product development environment.

  • Creative, and abstract thinker with a good balance to application, result-driven, accurate and quality minded. Ambition to create value for our customers.
