Job Description

Responsible for creating and maintaining one or more of the IQVIA databases. Viewed as a subject matter expert for the database.

Essential Functions

• Adds new suppliers to the databases, ensuring quality and completeness.

• Analyzes large and complex data sets and completes comparative analysis.
• Manipulates database query software and mainframe applications.
• Uploads/downloads data upon demand.
• Maintains and enhances the quality on highly complex databases by identifying and implementing quality control measures and procedures.
• Leads the project team and helps define assignments/deadlines for those projects identified through the prioritization process and by management.

• Trains new and temporary employees along with current employees to improve upon the individual’s quality assurance and basic/advanced processing competencies.
• Provides project support & coordination, as well as subject matter expertise
• Implements new automation opportunities to create process efficiencies.
• Defines and updates documentation as deemed necessary to maintain the quality of files and databases.
• Implements methodologies to circumvent repetitive issues that occur within the work structure.
• May work with vendors and external clients.
• May make database presentations to both internal and external suppliers/customers.
• Provides input to decisions making impacts on the database.
• Provides direct and indirect supervision and guidance to others.

Qualifications
• Bachelor's Degree Req
• Five (5) years’ work experience in a related field Req
• Pharmacy Technician experience in retail is a plus
• Experience using mainframe tools such as JCL
• Ability to write and modify SQL queries
• Advanced proficiency in Windows applications (Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint, etc.).
• Pharmaceutical industry knowledge.
• Ability to upload/download data as needed through various software and mainframe packages.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to anticipate problems and help design the process to prevent database issues.

• Ability to manage several projects with overlapping schedules and meet deadlines.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Ability to work independently in addition to guiding a small team
