You’ll be someone who is both comfortable working pro-actively and managing your own tasks, as well as confident collaborating with others and communicating regularly with senior managers, directors, and BDO’s partners to help businesses effectively. You’ll be encouraged to identify and draw attention to opportunities for enhancing our delivery and providing additional services to organisations we work with.

You'll be a Senior Analyst Data, Analytics and AI specialist in our Digital team. This role is ideal for someone with strong technical skills and experience delivering data-led solutions within consulting or project environments. We are looking for an individual who can work confidently with complex data, translate business requirements into practical outputs and communicate insights clearly, supported by strong problem-solving skills, intellectual curiosity and an agile outlook.

Responsibilities

• Gather and clarify business requirements, translating them into appropriate data, analytics or AI approaches and deliverables.
• Prepare, transform and analyse complex datasets and develop dashboards, reports, analytical models or AI-enabled solutions.
• Validate data and solution outputs, document methods and assumptions, and resolve quality or performance issues.
• Interpret findings and communicate clear, evidence-based insights and recommendations to clients and project teams.
• Manage assigned work and priorities, collaborating with engineers, analysts, data scientists and other specialists to meet deadlines.
• Apply relevant data governance, security, quality and responsible AI considerations throughout delivery, while supporting junior colleagues and practice development.

Experience

• Experience delivering data, analytics or AI projects from requirements gathering and data preparation through analysis, solution development, testing and delivery.
• Strong practical experience querying, transforming and analysing large or complex datasets using tools and technologies such as SQL, Python, cloud data platforms, analytics and visualisation tools.
• Ability to translate business questions and user requirements into appropriate data models, analytical approaches, dashboards, reports or AI-enabled solutions.
• Experience validating data and analytical outputs, identifying anomalies or quality issues, performing root-cause analysis and documenting assumptions, methods and results clearly.
• Ability to interpret findings, identify meaningful patterns and insights, and communicate evidence-based recommendations to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Experience working within consulting or multidisciplinary project teams, managing priorities, meeting deadlines and contributing independently to accurate, high-quality client deliverables.
• A working understanding of modern data architectures, data governance or responsible AI principles, with the ability to apply appropriate quality, security and ethical considerations to delivery.
• Good stakeholder and communication skills, with the confidence to collaborate effectively with clients, data engineers, analysts, data scientists and other specialists.
