Core HMI & Display Graphics Skill Set

Emerson Ovation Display Configuration
:

o
Deep hands-on experience building, modifying, and configuring Emerson Ovation HMI graphics, control sheets, and operational displays.

·
HMI/SCADA Design
:

o
Strong understanding of Human-Machine Interface (HMI) layout principles for control rooms, ensuring high-performance graphics that operators can easily read and interact with.

·
Database & Tag Integration
:

o
Ability to map and link graphical elements to underlying DCS/SCADA points, system variables, and live process data tags.

Technical & System Integration Expertise

·
Distributed Control Systems (DCS)
:

o
Expert-level familiarity with the broader Emerson Ovation architecture, along with cross-platform knowledge of other systems (e.g., ABB, various PLCs).

·
Industrial Communication Protocols
:

o
Familiarity with integrating data streams via standard industrial networks (e.g., Modbus, Profibus, Ethernet/IP) to display external device data on the main graphics.

·
Turbine & Process Control Knowledge
:

o
Understanding of complex power plant systems—such as gas turbine controls and combined-cycle systems—to accurately represent piping, instrumentation, and logic flows visually.

Execution, Testing & Compliance

FAT/SAT Activities
:

o
Experience testing graphics and control loops during Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) and Site Acceptance Testing (SAT) to ensure display accuracy before live deployment.

Commissioning & Startup Support
:

o
Providing real-time troubleshooting, display adjustments, and graphic fixes during critical plant startup and commissioning phases.

Regulated Environments
:

o
Ability to work within highly regulated operational frameworks, such as nuclear facilities, public utilities, and large-scale power generation safety standards.
