
The Data Analyst supports the UNSW Business School’s accreditation, continuous improvement and strategic decision-making activities through the delivery of high-quality data analysis, insights and reporting. Working closely with stakeholders across the Faculty, the role collects, integrates, analyses and interprets complex data from multiple sources to produce meaningful reports, interactive dashboards and visualisations that support accreditation requirements, curriculum and educational quality initiatives, and evidence-based improvement of student learning and program outcomes including AACSB, EQUIS and PRME.
The position manages data capture and reporting processes, supports the development of accessible and reliable data systems, and provides analysis and advice to senior Faculty stakeholders and the Accreditation team. Using tools such as Excel, Power BI, Tableau and programming languages including Python, SQL or R, the Data Analyst transforms large and complex datasets into clear, actionable insights while identifying opportunities to improve data collection, reporting and analytical capability across the Business School.
The role requires strong technical and analytical capability, attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities and reporting deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Strong stakeholder management and communication skills are essential, with the ability to translate complex data into clear and meaningful information for a range of audiences.
The role reports to the Senior Business Performance & Planning Analyst and has no direct reports.
