Cooper Parry's growth is booming, and we're looking for a new Data Analyst to join our Data & Analytics team. This is an exciting opportunity to help shape how data is used across the business, delivering meaningful insights that support strategic decision-making and enhance our customer value proposition.

About the day to day…

As a Data Analyst, you'll work closely with stakeholders across the business, helping teams understand their data, identify opportunities, and make informed decisions. You'll combine analytical thinking with Power BI development expertise to transform data into actionable insights.

You'll be getting stuck into a diverse range of tasks and responsibilities, including;

• Developing, maintaining and enhancing Power BI dashboards • Working closely with business stakeholders to understand reporting requirements, business objectives and key performance indicators. • Analysing data to identify trends, opportunities, risks and actionable insights. • Translating complex datasets into clear, engaging and easy-to-understand visualisations and reporting. • Supporting data-driven decision making across operational, commercial and strategic initiatives. • Extracting, transforming and validating data from multiple sources. • Optimising data models, Power Query transformations and reporting performance. • Ensuring data accuracy, consistency and adherence to reporting standards. • Presenting findings and recommendations to both technical and non-technical audiences. • Supporting the development of a data-driven culture by promoting best practices in reporting.

In addition to those core values, as a Data Analyst you should;

• At least 2 years of proven experience in a Data Analyst, BI Analyst, Reporting Analyst or similar analytics-focused role. • Strong Power BI development experience, including data modelling, DAX, Power Query and report design. • Experience working with integrating data from multiple systems. • Strong SQL skills and experience working with relational databases. • Understanding of ETL processes and data transformation techniques. • Experience with Microsoft Fabric, data warehousing technologies, or similar modern data platforms. • Strong understanding of data visualisation principles and best practices. • Ability to analyse complex datasets and communicate findings in a clear and compelling way. • Excellent stakeholder management, communication and collaboration skills. • Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities and deliver high-quality outputs.

The following skills and experience would be advantageous:

• Experience within a professional services, financial services or accountancy environment. • Experience building semantic models and supporting self-service reporting initiatives. • Knowledge of data governance, data quality and reporting standards. • Experience using Salesforce.
